An outdoor unit on the third floor or a flat roof means scaffolding, a lift platform or a crane.
Surface trunking is cheapest; chased-in pipework or shaft routing means more work and making good.
A new protected circuit runs to €150–500 depending on the distance to the board.
Between entry level and premium at the same capacity, expect €700–1,500 more – for a quieter, leaner, longer-lasting unit.

Electricity prices move – redo the sum with your own tariff: kWh used multiplied by your price per kWh.
For summer cooling alone, a premium unit hardly pays for itself through electricity savings – the extra cost is justified by quietness, control quality and service life, not efficiency on its own.
As soon as you heat with it, the picture changes. A SCOP of 5.1 instead of 4.0 saves roughly 160 kilowatt-hours a year at a heat demand of 3,000 kWh, which adds up over fifteen years. If you plan to heat, do not save on the unit.
